More About Me

I grew up in Springfield, Missouri, the Queen City of the Ozarks. I was a creative kid, but my passion for theatre erupted in high school when I was introduced to the form of devising theatre.

I was deeply inspired by the collaborative nature, and limitless possibilities that come with devising theater. This led me to pursue a degree in theater, which I received in May of 2024 from Belmont University. My experience studying theater was invaluable in helping me develop a personal technique, a deeper understanding of myself, and confidence in my abilities as an artist.

I am not only a performing artist, but a visual artist. No matter the medium I am working in, I am inspired by vibrancy, bare truth, collaboration, specificity, and patterns.

My goal as a performer is to provide an audience with connection – connection to an emotion that everyone feels, even if they cannot relate to the experiences of the character onstage. I feel touched by a piece of theater when I feel seen in some way, and that is what I seek to give others with my work: a connection of our souls.

My goal as a collaborator is to show up with authenticity and openness, and to pursue justice and safety for all those inside and outside of the rehearsal room with every action. I am committed to participating in equitable and uplifting theater that does not disrespect its participants or audience in any way. I believe that my personal pursuit of social justice has a rightful place in my work.

Mission Statement

I want to be a person who lives from love, and does not hold back. In both personal and professional endeavors, I seek to bring light and be open to new ideas. In order to become that person, I stay in pursuit of growth and curiosity in these areas: my emotional landscape, my physical body and connection to it, and my artistic expressions.
